Naohiro Ogawa is currently the holder of the Old Age Financial Protection Chair at SSRC. He is Professor in Economics at Tokyo University and Professor Emeritus at Nihon University. The topic of his talk is related to the accelerated economic growth (demographic dividends) that may result from a decline in a country’s mortality and fertility and the subsequent change in the age structure of the population.
This topic will be of interest to policymakers, researchers, the scientific community and other stakeholders as the challenges in achieving this economic benefit may have implication among others, on social, health and economic policies.
