International Conference on Population Ageing: Issues and Challenges was held on 11 July 2012 at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur

The conference was jointly organised by the Social Security Research Center (SSRC) of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya, and the National Population and Family Development Board (NPFDB), Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia to discuss the issues and challenges of population ageing in Malaysia and other Asian countries, in light of changing family and socioeconomic scenarios, to assess the financial needs of older persons and family support, to provide a forum for international knowledge sharing and to put forth policy recommendations to the relevant authorities.
