ABOUT IECH

The Insight Exchange and Capacity Hub (IECH) serves as a platform for sharing knowledge and data as well as supporting policy development on social security issues and trends in the ASEAN region. It brings together experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to exchange ideas, improve understanding, and build capacity across the region. The IECH helps support better decision-making and collaboration by focusing on real-world issues and opportunities in social protection.

IECH envisions a region where social protection systems are inclusive, evidence-driven and resilient. It aims to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning by facilitating knowledge exchange, documenting best practices and building technical expertise. Through specialised training, and a robust data observatory, IECH aspires to empower policymakers and practitioners with the tools and insights needed to design and deliver effective, equitable and sustainable social protection for all.

As a platform, IECH is consistent with ASEAN Social Security Association (ASSA) vision and mission of promoting cooperation and knowledge sharing to strengthen social protection systems across Southeast Asia. By supporting these goals, the IECH contributes to strengthening social protection systems across Southeast Asia, helping member countries address common challenges, share good practices, and enhance regional solidarity in the field of social security.
