In light of rising living costs and inadequate social security, experts Amjad Rabi and Norma Mansor from SWRC have put forth a potential solution: the Consumption-Based Contributory Pension (CBCP).
The CBCP proposes a novel approach to retirement savings. By linking a small consumption contribution to a flat-rate benefit for senior citizens, it aims to alleviate the burden on working adults while providing a more equitable safety net for the elderly.
