Senior Research Associate
Haniza Khalid is a development economist with experience in various
government of Malaysia's and the United Nations' projects mainly on
sustainability and the SDGs, poverty measurement; social safety net,
economic and social impact management and measurement and
integrated financing for development.
Before joining SWRC, Haniza was the Senior Development Economist,
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Office for Malaysia,
Singapore and Brunei Darussalam. She had previously been an Associate
Professor at the Kuliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS),
International Islamic University Malaysia. Her current interests include: Care
Economy, Economics of Aging and Islamic Social Finance.
