INTRODUCTION:
The 2nd Regional Social Policy Conference, a joint initiative by UNICEF, SWRC, and KPWK Sarawak, convened in Kuching, Sarawak on October 22nd and 23rd, 2024. This significant event brought together over 100 delegates from 14 countries in the East Asia and Pacific region, including policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and experts. The conference aimed to foster knowledge sharing, highlight best practices and stimulate transformative change in social policy. By addressing the challenges posed by demographic shifts, urbanization, inequalities, climate change, and digitalization, the conference sought to create a future where children are prioritised and societies are inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
