Datuk Emeritus Professor Dr. Norma Mansor, the Director of SWRC was invited to be one of the panelists for Panel Discussion Session 1 on Community Development: A Panacea for Poverty Eradication and Enhancing Wellbeing under The International Day for Eradication of Poverty Forum (IDEP 2019) which was organized by Yayasan Sejahtera. The event was officiated by YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun. Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, where YAB Tun. Dr. Mahathir also launched Yayasan Sejahtera’s Community Development Fund (CDF) during the event. The forum highlighted the issues of poverty in Malaysia and the importance of having community based approaches for ensuring holistic wellbeing.
